Baby Music Classes

Kindermusik Toowoomba have classes for children ranging from birth.  What does a 2 week old child gain from Kindermusik?  When children are born, they are making neural connections at a faster rate than ever.  For the first 3 years of life, they have more neural connections than they will in the rest of their lifetime.  The amount they have to learn in such a short amount of time is atounding.

Kindermusik simply uses that time frame to assist learning in a fun way.  Babies are very tactile and we introduce new stimuli in a way that they can understand.  Up until about 9 months or a year old, babies have not developed the hand sensors and are still putting everything in their mouths.  They do this because the sensors around the mouth are still the most active and this is where they are getting their information from.  We do tactile activities to help them experience different textures and surfaces.

We rock with our babies to stimulate the vestibular system. This is essential in them learning how to crawl and walk and helps them focus when moving.  Rocking is a lovely gentle way of stimulating this system and making it strong.  We also stimulate it in a different way by moving with our children.  Running, galloping, swaying, tiptoe.... they all feel different to our babes when in our arms.

We explore different types of music and timbres.  This helps with language acquisition and sound discrimination.

Class is a feast of stimuli in the right way at the right time.  It is as much a brain workout as it is a body workout but loads of fun for both bub and Mum.
