Toddler Music Classes

Toddler music classes are fun and educational with Kindermusik Toowoomba.  Kindermusik is a classroom experience for children birth to 7 years where they laugh, learn and grow.  With a variety of activities and experiences, each child will learn new skills, not only in the music arena, but also life skills, such as turn taking, sharing, social skills and emotional confidence.

Kindermusik allows each child to learn at their own pace, with parents helping children up until the age of 3 years in the classroom setting to extend their knowledge using scaffolding.  This is a technique coined by an educational psychologist, Lev Vygotsky, who said that there is a "zone of poximal development" where a person of greater skill can lead a person who has not yet acquired the skill to a place of knowledge and accomplishment.

In lamens terms, parents can extend on the knowledge already acquired by their children by modeling new ways of doing things.  Sometimes, the child can be the one with the skill teaching the parents, when they think of new ways of playing the sticks, bells or ways to move with a scarf.

This way of learning incorporates all learning domains so that language starts to flourish, physical skills start to become more confident and children learn to control their bodies.

Class time is fun but the fun doesn't stop there.  With take home materials, parents can enjoy the quality of the classroom experience at home with the same music, books and instruments.  Kindermusik really does teach life skills of learning in a way that encourages creative family music making in the home environment.
